Alèthia is located in the heart of the Costa Brava, in the town of Calonge in the Baix Empordà district of the province of Girona. The town, with 10,700 inhabitants, is formed by two differentiated urban nuclei: Calonge, inland, and Sant Antoni-Torre Valentina, on the coast. With a typically Mediterranean climate, the town enjoys mild winters and hot, dry summers. The northerly tramuntana wind blows here, but the hills sheltering the town mean that it has less impact here than in the rest of the Empordà.

Calonge is the historical centre of the town and lies at the foot of the Gavarres hills, which surround it on all sides except for the zone of the plain, where vineyards and fields lead down to the bay of Sant Antoni and Palamós. To the north, Calonge adjoins the neighbouring municipalities of Vulpellac and La Bisbal d’Empordà, to the north-east Palamós, to the south Platja d’Aro and to the west Santa Cristina d’Aro and Cruïlles.

The nucleus of Sant Antoni, located on the coast between Torre Valentina and Palamós, with which it shares a bay, is characterised by the large number of tourists who visit it from Catalonia, the rest of the Spanish state and other countries. Calonge-Sant Antoni, classified as a family tourism municipality, has a complete, all-year-round programme of cultural, leisure and sports activities for all ages.

The nucleus of Torre Valentina extends around an old lookout tower overlooking the sea to the south of the beach of Sant Antoni, beside the coastal path. The tower is a cylindrical construction that served to warn of attacks on the coast by enemies and pirates, and it is now classified as a protected monument and catalogued as a Cultural Asset of National Interest of the municipality of Calonge.
